After a hard fall, while attending her daughter's
rollerskating birthday party in early February, EEW
Magazine's Founder, Dianna Hobbs, underwent a
surgical procedure to insert a metal plate and screws
into her left arm to repair a broken radius bone which
caused muscle tissue, cartilage, and nerve damage in
her wrist and hand.
According to official medical reports, after serious
complications following surgery, Dianna's body went
into shock and doctors nearly lost her. "We are so
thankful for the prayers of family, friends, and
colleagues," says Dianna's husband, Kenya Hobbs.

Dianna Hobbs Recovering after Nearly Fatal Surgical Complications
"I learned after the medical team had stabilized the situation, just how serious things had
gotten," Hobbs continued. "They called out 'Code Blue', it looked bad and they were worried."
Code Blue is generally used to indicate a patient requiring immediate resuscitation as the result
of a cardiac arrest. It has now been concluded that Dianna Hobbs had a negative response to the
narcotics used to alleviate her severe post-op pain, causing her breathing to stop and her heart
to fail.
Currently, Dianna Hobbs, who had been in the process of recording her debut album, is
recovering in her upstate New York home with her family. Doctors predict that the
rehabilitation process to restore full mobility to her wrist and fingers will take up to six months
to complete. At present, she is being closely monitored by doctors and physical therapists as
Dianna works to regain strength. "At present, all Dianna Hobbs' engagements and appearances
have been effectively cancelled until further notice" said a rep in an official statement.
The family expresses sincere thanks for "the outpouring of love through gifts, cards, calls, and
emails as Dianna recuperates."
