“Zee” Peregrino-Brimah is a game-changer in urban Christian media.

On November 4, 2008, he and his partner, Bobby “Tre9” Herring, re-launched a website,
DaSouth.com, forever changing the industry.
(Update: After drawing 2 million unique visitors,
garnering 14 million page views and reaching over 200 countries globally, in 2013,

DaSouth.com was purchased by Jam The Hype—a landmark deal and the first major acquisition
in Christian Hip Ho
p).

Zee is a groundbreaker
for Christ, but it wasn’t always that way. Before giving his heart to Jesus,
he tells EEW Magazine, “Growing up, I was wild and crazy, into drugs, alcohol, girls, going to the
club and all kinds of things.”

Yet, God was drawing Zee before he  knew it or was willing to accept it.

“There were these Christians on campus who would go around knocking on doors witnessing
and just showing love,” he explained. “And there was this one guy in particular named Craig,
who wouldn’t leave me alone.”

Craig, an unashamed Believer, implanted seeds of faith into Zee’s heart. One night, after
speaking to him on a pay phone, Zee prayed a prayer that might seem strange to some.

He said, “God I believe you are real. I believe you exist. I believe there’s a heaven and a hell. I
want to know you, but there are so many religions out there; who am I to say which one is right?”

Confused, but seeking, Zee continued telling God, “I want you to show me the truth. From here
on, I’m gon
' live the way I want to live until you show me. And if I die and go to hell it’s gon' be
your fault.”

Though an unconventional petition, God revealed Himself. After numerous spiritual
encounters,
finally, Zee was ready to surrender.

The year was 1994 on the campus of Winston Salem State University. “I got down on my dorm
room floor
. I asked God to save me," he said. "I felt an evil presence literally walk out of my
body right there in that moment.
"

Feeling all the freedom and joyfulness of a new Believer, Zee reacted excitedly. “I got off my
knees and ran out of my dorm room,” he said.
“I just started running for no reason, just running.
I knew I was saved I was so filled with joy.”

Ever since,
he has been running for Jesus and running media enterprises to glorify God.

For Zee's diligence in honoring God in the digital space and doing it with excellence, he is well
deserving of EEW Magazine's "10 Men Leading the Way" distinction.
